Amazing photos. Long story short, I found your blog from Michael Spotts' page, but I've also heard of your name from talking to Jordan Foster online (mostly two years ago). When i was in high school, i started doing photography with a 35mm , and then i stopped shooting for awhile. after my dad had gotten me a 'point and shoot' digital camera, i started to take it up a bit more during my freshman year of college, and especially after i got saved (my sophomore year of college). since i recently moved to another state and transferred colleges, finishing college is taking longer than expected, and it looks like it's going to take me 6 years to graduate (and i'm not even going for my master's or anything. gross). my major is currently education, but if doing photographic work would ever be useful to my future husband (i have a courtship coming up in the future and our pastor's blessing and counsel is encouraging it, so marriage is a real possibility in the future), then perhaps i would take photography classes online after college, since it would be too much work for me/not show much respect for my dad if i were to change my major now and throw away all of his money.

i mostly just have done photography for fun these past two years, and i'm definitely an amateur. i still only have and use the point and shoot that my dad gave me a long time ago, because i don't want to be covetous and ask for a DSLR if i don't really need it right now. i'm actually taking another photography class for the first time since high school this semester, because my dad needs me to take 4 classes each semester in order to satisfy his insurance requirements, and i wanted to take a fun class in addition to the mundane classes that i'm taking. (i hope to finish up next semester at the community college that i'm going to in order to transfer to a larger university because i didn't get accepted into it when i originally applied there).

Anywho; for next week, our teacher wants us to research a photographer that is doing the same line of work that we're seeking to do for our portfolio. (I'm taking a really basic digital photography class). Since i plan to do portraits, i was thinking of picking you since you actually do this for a living. but, it's just a thought. please let me know if that's okay, bro.

my work doesn't even compare to yours.. but some of my stuff is on flickr.

like i've said, i'm an amateur, and i only have a point and shoot for now. i'm not sure if i will be doing photography more seriously in the future, but the Lord knows. =)

Please let me know if you and your wife need prayers for anything. if you have any pointers/advice about my pictures or the photography business in general, i'm all ears.

a random sister in Christ/college student,

nicole.
